hiking routes

Most people who have never been walking for more than a day or can not think that the stores are the only refuge for hikers. There are several options housing for you overnight. The use of tents is an option, but can also stay in cabins, inns, lodges, cabins, shelters and trails.

These are options that can make your trip, if available. Apart from using his own shop, hire all the amenities a small fee. Many hikers use a variety of accommodations, during a sightseeing trip.

The use of tents in the desert

Hikers travel several days usually carry with them lightweight camping tents. Some walkers like a tent out of sight in nature, and if possible, away from other hikers and campers as well.

In some places like North America, a tent is usually the only option for accommodation. You will have a time difficult to find houses or tanks, because there are none.

This is not a big problem because many hikers in North America prefer to camp without other people around. You should remember that if you camp, be sure to leave the camp like when finished. This is called camping without a trace. Do not leave anything behind and take your trash with you.

Use designated tents

While some travelers like to stay alone, some are looking for the company or is in company of other walkers. This is a safer option to go camping in solitude, because there is safety in numbers.

In Europe, sites generally designated food stalls where you can buy or prepare their own food. In the U.S., campsites are available at the park where campers are designated for a site group.

Shelter in huts

While the cabins are rare in North America, is quite common and popular in Europe especially in mountainous areas. They are in remote locations away from populated areas and often accessible only on foot.

You get the accommodation basics, including kitchen facilities. You can also buy a hot meal at a reasonable price. This type of housing is so popular usually is completed during high season. Be sure to book in advance or you will be sorely disappointed.

Rooms Houses and Backpacker's Hostel

In Europe, B & B are everywhere, especially along travel routes. Facilities and service is a little better than those seen in huts. The same goes for hostels for backpackers. You will also find a kitchenette, a common room, laundry machines, hot shower and a friendly atmosphere.

You can meet other backpackers and share stories or just enjoy each others company. These accommodations are usually included in trail guides, especially if they are hiker-friendly.

Staying in these places do not require you carry all the camping gear or sleeping bags and cooking equipment. They are usually located near attractions including historic sites and other attractions for tourists.

Generally, no locks on the rooms so you can carry your computer with you when you leave. The quality varies from one spot, which Roach infested. Choose those with good reviews from other travelers.

Trail Shelter

The difference between the track housing and accommodation such as B & B is that there are services in the shelters of the track. There are laundry and kitchen, so do not have to rely on your camping equipment. Trail shelters are popular in northern Scotland.
