Too many people do not know what to do in "conditions of survival." We go snow covered roads and / or rural roads … Wooden hiking … snowmobiling with friends … hunting or fishing in the mountains … or skiing and snowboarding with our family this weekend …

For me, it began as a young man on a mountainside in one of my hunting trips at first, when placed in a fog was so thick he could not even see two feet in front my face. As I have tried to find my way up the mountain to the platform, pushing through the undergrowth Buck but not knowing where I was, I progressed to a state of panic … when it finally sank in that I was lost.

Exhausted, I sat down and got ready for a cold night. As I sat there, the realization my lack of knowledge and skills, something happened that created a life long journey to learn everything I could on survival and preparedness, so I'm not I'm never in a situation like that.

It goes without saying that eventually was found, but the passion for learning survival has never stopped. There is an old saying, "What if I spend enough time in nature, you're bound to get around sometimes.

Studies show that staying alive in a survival situation is as follows:
80% mental
Skills 10%
10% Equipment

So what is 80% or composite mental attitude?

2 things: The will to live and their ability to solve problems! How can we improve these 2 aspects in an emergency?

By learning all you can about survival. Improved knowledge and skills you have, the less equipment you need, and better mood in an emergency. If survival is 80% mental, the goal should be to obtain much knowledge and skills that can improve mental status.
